Cow
Moo-ve over for this showstopper!
A single cow can produce up to 5,000 litres of milk every year, giving families a nutritious source of calcium and protein.
Extra milk can be sold locally, while manure helps enrich soil and improve harvests. It is a gift that supports nutrition, income and farming all at once.
Gift in action
Nila knows just how valuable a cow can be. Her cow Rahul is part of a thriving farm that provides nutritious milk for the family and creates new opportunities for income. Her cows have even given birth to calves, extending the benefits further. Families like Nila’s can use livestock to improve diets, strengthen harvests and build greater financial security.
This gift supports our Livelihoods programme, helping to change lives.
