Nutrition for malnutrition recovery

€1.00

Child malnutrition remains one of the greatest threats to children's health and survival in the communities where Concern Worldwide works. #

Families experiencing extreme poverty often struggle to access enough nutritious food, which puts children at risk.

A gift of €525 could save lives and provide five severely malnourished children with full courses of RUTF treatment.

Treatment typically lasts three months, and a child requires an average of 225 sachets of this life-saving, nutrient-rich food to help them regain weight, rebuild their strength and recover from malnutrition.

This gift goes towards our Health and Nutrition programme, helping to save lives and keep families healthy.

In Bangladesh, Concern supports nutrition programmes in the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, where many families face ongoing challenges accessing nutritious food and healthcare.

Children suffering from severe acute malnutrition receive treatment with Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), alongside monitoring and support from trained health workers.

Roshmin* and her son Raihan*, pictured here, visited a Concern-supported health facility in Bangladesh, where he was diagnosed with malnutrition.

He was given ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) to help him regain his strength, and his condition steadily improved.
