School essentials for brighter futures
In the communities where Concern Worldwide works, children face many barriers to education. Hunger, displacement, safety concerns, the cost of schooling, child labour and child marriage are just a few of the challenges that can prevent children from learning.
Education is one of the most powerful ways to break the cycle of poverty, yet it remains out of reach for many children living in extreme poverty and conflict-affected settings.
A gift of €1,000 could provide essential school equipment for 40 children, including school bags, notebooks, pens and pencils. By helping children access the materials they need to learn, your gift can support them to continue their education despite the challenges they face.
This gift helps support our Education programmes, ensuring that children can have a brighter future.

- How gifts work

Concern Worldwide is working to improve access to education for vulnerable children, including in conflict settings such as Syria, where years of conflict and displacement have left many children without access to the learning opportunities they deserve.
Here, Concern supports children affected by conflict and displacement through education programmes that provide learning opportunities, educational materials, wellbeing support and pathways back into formal schooling.
Twins Amal* and Bassel* attend Concern’s Child Development Centre in the Aleppo countryside in Syria. Here, Concern delivers non-formal education activities targeting children who have dropped out of school or were unable to continue their education.
